FINA World Championships 2009 - Rome

ROME: Sweden’s Sarah Sjostrom bettered the world record she
set on Sunday to grab gold in the women’s 100m butterfly
final as five new world marks were created at the World
Swimming Championships Monday.
The 15-year-old surged home in 56.06, ahead of second-placed
Jessicah Schipper of Australia and bronze medallist
Jiao Liuyang of China.
Sjostrom destroyed the world record in Sunday’s heats to set
a new mark of 56.44 but easily surpassed that on a warm Rome
evening.
“I don’t know what is happening right now. It’s unbelievable,”
she told reporters. “This is my best year but I have many years
in front of me. I can do better.”

Warren Buffett's Web Cartoon
When Warren Buffet talks, RC and many others listens. Now you can throw children into the legions of people who follow Buffett's advice. CNBC is reporting today that Buffett will appear in an animated web series called, "The Secret Millionaire's Club."
The idea is to get children to grasp basic finance lessons well before they do things like, say, agree to a risky, adjustable rate mortgage. Buffett:
"If we can get through to some young people, say it's better to be ahead of the game than behind, watch out for credit cards, most important message is the best investment you can make is in yourself. Teach them if something is too good to be true it probably is. So if they learn those things the easy way through these stories early on it may save them learning the hard way later on."

Federer win breaks Sampras record

Roger Federer became the greatest player in Grand Slam
history as he beat Andy Roddick in five dramatic sets
for a sixth Wimbledon and 15th major title.
The Swiss won 5-7 7-6 (8-6) 7-6 (7-5) 3-6 16-14 to
surpass Sampras's 14 Grand Slam wins and regain the
title he lost to Rafael Nadal last year.
And Sampras was back at Wimbledon for the first time
since 2002 to watch from the Royal Box as Federer made
history.
Federer, 27, will now return to the top of the world
rankings ahead of Nadal.
But he had to dig deep against an in-form Roddick,
who had four points for a two-set lead and then
battled back to force an epic fifth set as the
match became the longest men's singles final ever
in terms of games played.
"He played unbelievable," Federer told BBC Sport,
adding: "It feels great. It was a crazy match with
an unbelievable end and my head's still spinning,
but it's an unbelievable moment in my career."
Federer, who claimed a first French Open title
last month, has now won Wimbledon six times,
the US Open five times, the Australian Open
three times and Roland Garros once.
