Blake vs Fish Pilot Pen final

They'll be plenty of fan support to go around
when James Blake and Mardy Fish square off
in an all-American final at the Pilot Pen Tennis
tournament tonight.

A native of nearby Fairfield, the third-seeded
Blake has received plenty of backing en route
the final as evident by the rambunctious "J-Block"
cheering section at the Connecticut Tennis Center.
However, Fish fans at the event have established
the "Fish Tank" in an effort to level the playing
field.

Blake will play his best friend on tour, Mardy
Fish, for the title. "If there is anyone on tour
that I know their game, it's him," Blake said.
"I've played more practice sets, more practices
matches, more drilling with him than anyone else
on tour."

last time they met was in Memphis 2005 Mardy
Fish won that match on Hard 2:1 » 6:3, 2:6, 7:6(7)

on paper Blake is the stronger of the two and had
more success in recent tournaments but both of the
players are unstable at times and both did a lot of
effort to reach the final. also they know each others
game very well so Fish could be a strong opponent.
