With the Australian Open concluding the 2009 tennis season is
already filled with numerous intriguing storylines and questions
that will continue to develop and need to be answered when the
best players in the world gather for the BNP Paribas Open, to
be held March 9-22, 2009 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

The BNP Paribas Open, for the first time in its 20-year combined
(men & women) history will offer equal prize money to both men
and women. The event is also adding another evening session on
Thursday, March 12 which will make 21 sessions of match play.
Last year, more than 330,000 people attended the two-week event,
a ten-fold increase since its inception, making it the most-attended
tournament in the world outside of the four grand slams.
