Caroline Wozniacki surrendered her Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships crown when she was defeated 7-6(3), 7-5 by tournament debutante Julia Goerges, who will play Agnieszka Radwanska in Saturday’s final.
Wozniacki fought for two hours and 12 minutes before giving up her title at the end of a match in which both players struggled to produce their best form.
